The Odyssey Lab

A 4-week micro-business sprint

Most programmes teach you about business.
This one makes you run one.

Four weeks. Three roles. One real business.

Each week, students step into a different role, building on the last until they've completed the full cycle of creation.

Week 1
The Detective
The Need-Finder

Before anyone builds anything, investigate. Interview classmates, hunt for real problems in the school community, and learn that the best ideas come from listening, not guessing.

Fieldwork & Research
Week 2
The Architect
The Value-Creator

With a real problem in hand, design a solution: a product, a service, or an experience. Prototype it, price it, and ask a harder question: is this fair? Is it good for our community?

Design & Prototyping
Week 3
The Diplomat
The Storyteller

A great idea that no one hears about is no idea at all. Craft and rehearse a 90-second pitch, give each other honest feedback, and discover that clear communication is a superpower, in business and in life.

Pitching & Communication
Week 4
Market Day
The Full Odyssey Loop

The room becomes a marketplace. Pitch to guests, run booths, answer real questions, and experience what it feels like to exchange something made with your own hands and mind.

Showcase & Exchange

Don't just learn skills.
Become someone who uses them.

🔍
Evidence-based thinking Identifying real needs through structured fieldwork and interviews, not assumptions.
📐
Design under constraints Building a solution that works, costs less than it earns, and holds up to scrutiny.
🎙️
Confident communication Delivering a live pitch to a real audience... and receiving feedback gracefully.
⚖️
Ethical reasoning Thinking about fairness, community impact, and the responsibility that comes with creating something.
🔄

The feeling of creation Walking away having made something real: from a problem found to a product sold.
